New Year, New Opportunities

We’re a full week into the new year. What new opportunities have you already begun creating for yourself?

Often, we as creatives get stuck in a mindset that if we are faithful to creating the right environment for an opportunity to come, then it will come when the universe is ready for us to have it.

I don’t believe that. I believe opportunity comes PER what we prepare, execute, and repeat.

Prepare. Nothing of significance comes from a lack of preparation. If you desire new opportunities to come your way, you must prepare. There is no magic sauce. The magic is hard work. Plan the work, work the plan.

Execute. Planning is vital, but without action steps in the right direction, the plans are all done in vain. Execution comes from discipline, heads down, focused, intentional priorities. You got to get it done. The time is now, not tomorrow.

Repeat. Consistency in repetition is key. You can’t do this once a week and expect many results. You must rinse and repeat daily. This is a marathon, not a sprint. To get the opportunities you crave, you must show you have the consistency to play the long game. Once that library of trust is stocked full of execution, the results will come, even if its not the way you originally envisioned it.

Start today. Prepare. Execute. Repeat.
